CONCEPT:

The condominium was designed to evoke the atmosphere of a traditional Thai residence from the 1960s, blended with the relaxed sophistication of French Bohemian bourgeois (“Bobo”) living. The project involved extensive research into historical color palettes and traditional wood finishing techniques inspired by vintage “Pla Taphian Daeng” wood varnish commonly used in Thai homes of the era. The interior design was developed in close collaboration with local artisans, including the creation of custom textile upholstery patterns inspired by the rice fields surrounding the resident’s hometown, bringing personal memory and cultural identity into the living environment. Within the common areas, flexible folding partition systems were integrated to allow spaces to transform seamlessly into guest accommodations when visitors arrive, balancing openness, functionality, and the warmth of a home-like atmosphere.
