CONCEPT:

The project emphasizes the use of health-conscious and environmentally responsible materials with low or no harmful VOC emissions. Locally crafted materials and artisanal products were intentionally incorporated throughout the design to support community-based economies and promote sustainable craftsmanship. Wall finishes within the project utilize natural pigments synthesized from fruit-based materials in place of conventional chemical paints, reinforcing the project’s commitment to ecological living. Beneath the maid’s residence, an integrated water storage system was designed to collect and reserve water for use during dry seasons, providing sufficient supply for up to three months. The project also includes a comprehensive edible landscape strategy, integrating agricultural planning with the landscape design to support daily consumption, self-sufficiency, and a closer relationship between architecture, nature, and sustainable living practices.
