CONCEPT:
Inspired by the resident’s experience of living in England and a desire for a calm, visually soothing atmosphere, the interior was designed with a British Colonial aesthetic blended with contemporary Asian influences. The project incorporates ceramic blue-and-white motifs reminiscent of historic porcelain trade goods exchanged between Britain and China, subtly reflecting the narrative of overseas Chinese-Thai success and cross-cultural heritage. Existing cabinetry and architectural door frames were refined through the addition of brass trims and mirrored laminate surfaces, enhancing light reflection and creating a brighter, more spacious interior environment. Custom-designed lighting pieces were specially commissioned and handcrafted by artisans, featuring leaf-shaped forms cast in lightweight aluminum for outdoor use. The lightweight construction minimizes structural load while maintaining an elegant sculptural presence throughout the space.
