The concept was developed from the desire to create a library environment that would attract and engage young users by making reading feel playful, immersive, and more exciting than spending time on mobile devices. The design invites children into a fairytale-inspired world filled with castles, rolling hills, pine forests, knights’ horses, village houses, open grasslands, and mountain landscapes. These narrative elements were reinterpreted into simple geometric forms that are easy for children to understand while encouraging imagination and creative thinking. The space was designed to support both reading and collaborative activities through a landscape-like spatial composition, where hill-shaped structures surround central activity islands to create a sense of exploration and discovery. Large purple pine-tree installations positioned throughout the “mountain” landscape function as sculptural lighting elements, providing illumination while reinforcing the magical atmosphere of the fairytale environment.
