Ratchada Twin House was designed to provide comfort, safety, and ease of living for elderly residents who require minimal but thoughtful care. With accessibility and well-being placed at the core of the project, the house was carefully planned to achieve effective natural lighting and cross ventilation despite the limitations of its urban site conditions. The project utilizes simple, durable, low-maintenance, and safe materials suitable for long-term living. A key architectural feature is the balanced approach to daylight and privacy through the use of vertical fins surrounding the building. These elements reduce direct visibility from the outside while filtering sunlight entering the home, creating bright yet comfortable interior environments with continuous airflow throughout every room. The outdoor spaces were designed to support gentle daily exercise and healthy living, while landscaped areas at the rear of the property function as natural dust-filtering green zones. Raised vegetable garden beds were also incorporated to encourage light gardening activities, making planting and maintenance easier and more accessible for elderly residents.
