CONCEPT:
The spatial planning concept responds to the city’s festival-oriented cultural policies, particularly traditions such as the Candle Festival, by creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior public spaces within the architectural design. The project integrates viewing and gathering areas that flow continuously between indoor and outdoor environments without rigid boundaries. Exhibition spaces are designed to be easily accessible, featuring brass elements inspired by the traditional craftsmanship of Ban Pa-Ao, allowing visitors to experience local cultural identity through materiality and spatial atmosphere. The circulation system is planned to support smooth movement and accessibility for both members and the general public, with a librarian and reception area positioned at the front to assist visitors and manage the flow of activities efficiently. Located behind the local market, the library is envisioned as a welcoming community space that can accommodate users of all ages and backgrounds. The design emphasizes openness, connectivity, and inclusivity by dissolving the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces, creating a friendly urban environment that encourages interaction, learning, and shared cultural experiences for everyone.
