Renovation project for a 180-square-meter private residence, carefully preserving the owner’s existing collections, selected furniture pieces, and sacred Buddha sculptures by thoughtfully reintegrating them into the newly redesigned interior. The core design concept centered on “peeling back” the architectural layers to reveal the building’s authentic structure and exposed timber framework, reflecting the personality of the resident—someone deeply involved in the contemporary IT business world while maintaining warmth, generosity, and a strong appreciation for peaceful provincial communities. A continuous timber-clad corridor was designed to guide the visual journey from the entrance toward the balcony, creating a sense of openness and calm movement throughout the residence. Green tones and velvet fabrics were introduced within the guest reception area to add softness and sophistication, while the overall palette of brown, gray, and white was intentionally selected to harmonize effortlessly with the owner’s existing vintage collections and personal belongings.
